Hello again everyone! It has been a little bit of time since my last blog post; I have been very busy with many different projects and opportunities presented to me. I am excited to finally be back on a regular schedule to release our weekly blog! I have received a tremendous amount of feedback and want to take a second to say thank you to everyone who has read, commented, liked, or said anything to me about the blog. It is highly encouraged and greatly appreciated!

Now, with that being said, I have spent the last month to really take some time to focus on myself. I felt myself falling into the cultural trap of worrying what other people were thinking about me. I needed to take some time and disconnect. I have found great pleasure in searching within myself to find new forms of happiness. It came down to one thing: I got greedy. I set goals for myself and I was not going to let anyone or anything stop me from achieving them. I have had numerous sleepless nights because I am too focused to slow down. I missed meals and didn’t even realize it. I am too determined to allow my guard to drop and be pulled into the societal norms of contentment. Eric Thomas says it best, “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”

I am obviously not telling you to miss sleep regularly or skip your meals – quite the opposite. I am using this as an example. Get excited people! Get greedy! It’s your time…RIGHT NOW! Time is our most valuable asset, since once it’s gone you can never get it back. I’ve continuously seen so many people keep saying, “I’ll start Monday” or “I’ll start on the 1st” or “I’m about to start watching what I’m eating.”

How many times do they actually start when they say that? Hardly ever - exactly what I thought! Everyone is so worried about what everyone thinks about them. Stop it. What does it matter? GET GREEDY! Focus on yourself rather than what everyone is thinking about you. I know I’ve said this before, but at the end of the day there is only one person you have to look at in the mirror.

So TFW Familia, let’s get greedy this week! Forget what anyone says about you going to the gym. It’s time to start focusing on you! Get greedy! It’s time to be particular with what you’re eating and how you are training! If you want a change in your life, you have to change your mindset! It all starts by getting greedy and focusing on you. Put your goals first and temptations second.
