We are going to step outside the gym realm for a minute here. One thing that I have really been focused on lately in my personal life is not limiting my ability, my thinking, or myself in general. Too many times I see people putting limits on themselves.

“Oh I’m not going to do that, that’s John’s job,” or, “Why should I do that?” “What if I fail?” “I’m not going to do that, it’s stupid!” “That’s just not how it goes!” “I’m not trying that?!”

Well let me ask you something, why not? Why not go out and try new things? Why not get out of your comfort zone? Why not try to succeed in something different. Are you scared?

We as people put so much emphasis on failing. As a human race, I feel as if we have molded our thinking into automatically fearing failure. In reality we need to fear mediocrity! Arnold Schwarzenegger said one of my favorite quotes of all time - “The worst thing I could be, is the same as everyone else. I’d hate that.”

If I limited myself to just the cookie cutter college student, I would not be at TFW Dupage and you would not be reading this blog.

However, I will not allow myself to limit my physical ability or intellectual thinking. I continuously create my own avenues in my life to succeed on a daily basis and I will continue to do that until the day I die.

There comes a time where you have to put everything aside, and just get after it. You are powerful beyond measure! You are capable of pretty much anything that you are willing to work for! Applying this mindset and having this mentality could change your life starting today. All you need is a little push!

So TFW Famalia, here’s your push! Get out there and give it your best effort! In and out of the gym, never limit yourself. Stand out and be exceptional. Never limit yourself! Let’s hold our heads high and get excited for the opening of our new location.  I want to see everyone “Bring Out the Warrior Within” this week. Most importantly, “Viva La Resistance!”
